We left Council Grove this morning and headed for Eureka.
On the way, we passed our chicken coop and got a picture.
The biking book said the main problem was that it's right next to the railroad tracks.
While we were stopped to take the picture,
the book was proven correct. The train going by wasn't bad, but the whistle announcing it's arrival was ear splitting. Sheriff Dillon and Miss Kitty's hotel was great!
I wish the picture could do justice to the big black clouds this morning
which gave way to beautiful blue.
Since there wasn't an LDS meeting within 40 miles, we invited a special speaker to our private meeting. He's the best we've heard in a while.
Tomorrow - Chanutte, Ks. via hills and flats on Hwy 105.
What a trip! Sure beats going to parent conferences at school!
